Avocado packing combines receiving, grading, conditioning and shipment preparation. For a packing house, operational control begins before the line: each lot needs an origin, a recorded purchase and a weight that can be followed to its destination.
Receiving and lot records
Record the orchard of origin, supplier, receiving date and received kilos. Keep the link between the lot and purchase so field buyers, supervisors and administration can consult the same evidence. Distinguish received fruit from accepted fruit to avoid inventory discrepancies from the start.
Grading and inventory
